Fishing conditions: The sharks have been a little tough over the last week with all the changes in water temp and color. The are ton of Skipjack off our coast right now. Its all about finding the right school and you could be hooking fish for hours. Kelps are still hit and miss right now. it about 1 in every 10 kelps are holding fish.

Inshore temperature: 66 Degrees F

Offshore temperature: 68 Degrees F

Type of bait fish are feeding on: Sardines, Anchovies, Mackerel, Ghost Shrimp

Fish species: Mako shark, Blue Shark, Bonito, Yellowtail, Barracuda, Bluefin

Fishing season: Year round

Nearest airport: San Diego Int. airport

Techniques & Tips

Big rods and reels are key. Tuna you want 10, 12 and 14 weight with heavy sink lines to get the fly down. for Sharks 12, 14 and 16 weights with a floating line.
