Fishing conditions: Great Striped Bass right just about any place around the Island. Fishing does slow in the heat of the day bur early and late, fishing is terrific.

Inshore temperature: 66 Degrees F

Offshore temperature: 60 Degrees F

Type of bait fish are feeding on: Squid,Herring, sand eels and crabs

Fish species: Striped Bass, Bluefish, Bonito, False Albacore, Bluefin Tuna

Techniques & Tips

Almost anywhere from shore at night is good. Pay special interest in the pond openings. The harbor is a bit warmer and will have fish along the edges. Flats are alive and the rips have bass chasing squid.
