Lower Klamath River, California Fly Fishing Reports & Conditions
My tips of the week
This great river continues to dole out solid days of steelheading. Recent rain has some bigger showing up, but don't worry if you're not hooking up early in the day these fish will come alive and bite as the day warms up. The flows remain at 1,000 CFS, clarity is good and there are plenty of steelhead pouring into the upper section. Best tactics for numbers is dead drifting Legs and eggs. With the water cooling off, you will have to slow your swung flies down and get a little deeper to consistently hook fish.
