Big Gunpowder Falls River, Maryland Fly Fishing Reports & Conditions
My tips of the week
The Fall season will bring less hatches but great fishing. Caddis and terrestrials will still work and there will be BWO hatches. Midge activity will continue throughout the colder months. Streamers will be the best flies for the Fall. Spawn season will be coming and they will be staging up. If you see the redds, their nests, please avoid them!! They are the future of the stream!!

7-Day Forecast

As water temps lower, the fish can see more and you will be more visible! Use stealth and wade with care!! There is a chance of rain this weekend, but if you stay in the top catch and release areas, the flows should be unaffected. Streamers are the call!
