Fly fishing hatches in order of importance:

Flows are great! Get out bofore and after work. Work weed edges but don't be afraid to fish small seams in more open water with a clouser. Summer wet wading season is in full swing. Be sure to stop by the shop and pick up some neoprene booties to help get double duty out of your wading boots.

Fish species: Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Musky, Catfish, Carp and Panfish

Potomac River Description

The Potomac is a large river running from West Virginia all the way to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. In this section anglers will find a variety of opportunity to fish for Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Musky, Walleye, Catfish, Carp and Panfish. Techniques & Tips

Baitfish patterns on floro leader have been producing. If you're fishing a Clouser Minnow be sure to use a Non-Slip Mono Loop to give extra motion.
