summer and the winter can bring excellent sport to nymph and shrimp patterns. Gammarus shrimp is the No1 food item followed by the nymphs of the many types of mayflies. Winter Grayling fishing is superb and often there are hatches, even in mid-winter. We catch many big Trout by accident while targeting the Grayling. The Brown Trout commonly top 20" and the Grayling reach 2lbs.
Upstream dry fly and nymph.
With it getting most overcast mid-week but still mild the fishing should be fantastic.
