Somewhat expensive considering the quality. Reasonably comfortable to wear.
Disappointed Quality -
Ive worn these Invincible Extra Socks for years, I use to love them, they were thick, warm and lasted forever. Now, the calf shaft is thin, and rolls down, the toe and heel areas bunches up, They are not the sock they use to be. I am very disappointed that I will no longer know where to get great socks. The great sock hunt is on.
Best Socks I have every worn -

I have muscular calves and normally I can not find socks that will stay up. The Invincible's have just the right thickness for comfort and cushioning. Best of all these stock stay up regardless of the activity. Best I have ever worn.
At Last Great Socks -

The socks passed my husbands "do they roll down?" test but the big one was my washing machine test. I did them in cold water with his flannel shirts. I did not dare put them in the dryer with the shirts as they are merino wool from NZ but they were dry overnight, nice and soft.

When I ordered these socks I thought they were pretty pricey. After wearing just one pair, I think they are the best socks ever and well worth the money. They feel extremely comfortable and don't (so far) fall down. Shoes feel more comfortable than with other socks.

I was looking to buy some decent woollen socks and I was influenced by the positive reviews of the Invincible socks and I have not been disappointed. The socks are very comfortable - certainly the most comfortable that I have ever worn - they hold up well without feeling too tight, and they have retained their smart appearance after washing. They are not cheap but I believe they will be long lasting and represent good value for money.

Outstanding socks! -

Bought six pair a year ago, and just bought another six pair in different colors. Wear them all the time. No wear so far even at the heel, and they're just the right weight for all-round use. I love them!
An ancient and universal fiber
One of the oldest and most universal fibers, felted or woven wool has been used for garments and household linens since the earliest civilizations. Wool textiles have been documented as far back as 3,000 B.C.
The superior quality of wool from merino sheep
Thousands of years of evolution and selective breeding have resulted in merino sheep capable of producing a super-fine wool fiber. One square inch of merino fleece produces nearly four times as many wool fibers as other breeds of sheep. Interlaced with millions of microscopic air pockets, which act as Nature’s most effective insulator, merino fibers naturally reduce the passage of heat by trapping air between the woolen fibers. Because merino fibers are smaller in diameter and more abundant than in any other wool, they trap more air and keep the wearer naturally more comfortable.
Versatile, durable and comfortable
Merino wool keeps the wearer warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather. These remarkable fibers also absorb up to 30% of their own weight in moisture, pulling vapor away from the body so that the wearer stays dry and comfortable regardless of the temperature.
Fine merino wool is soft, not scratchy!
Modern technology has made it possible to sort and select only the finest merino fibers. Merino wool has a microscopic diameter—about one-third to one-tenth the thickness of a human hair. The smaller the diameter, the finer, softer, and less scratchy the fabric will be. Lustrous merino wool produces fabric that can be worn next to the skin without discomfort, is soft, and always provides an exceptional hand and distinctive style. Orvis offers a wide range of luxuriously soft merino wool clothing for men.
