I received a 12' 6" 6wt, for my birthday. My goal is to use this rod primarily for trout fishing on the White and Norfork rivers in Arkansas. I fished it with a Rio Scandi Short Versi Tip Fly Line 370 Grain #6 33ft and 410 gr. along with a 7 wt. 380gr Spey line. While the 370 might be considered by some to be a little light, I really like the tight loops the rod produced effortlessly. It truly was like the rod and line were paired for each other. I used this for both swinging big flies and also for nymphing. I have fished some really top of the line 2 handed rods (with guides in Scotland) costing considerably more than I paid for this rod and personally feel the more expensive rods did NOT performed any better. This is my second 2 handed rod and once you get used to Spey casting I cannot see myself back casting my old single handers again. This is my new go to (2 handed) rod for trout fishing. If you are looking for a new rod and value being cost conscious, this is definitely one you should seriously take into consideration.

Tried demo in 13' 7wt and this rod, 12' 6" 6wt, loved both rods. Purchased this rod primarily for trout fishing on the MO near Craig, MT. I demoed it with a 470g 42ft spey line and it was like the rod and line were made for each other. It cast effortlessly in spite of 15 mph winds and air temperature in the 20's. Tried top line rods costing more than double what I paid for this rod and didn't feel the more expensive rods were any better. I still have money left over to buy a new line and reel for it. I fish the MO 50+ days a year and use 2 handed rods year round. This is my new primary 2 hander. If you are looking for a new rod and don't care about being able to brag about how much you paid for it this is definately one you should need to seriously consider.
