Refund Answers
1. What is your refund policy?
  Answer: All merchandise purchased from Orvis has the Orvis 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We will refund your money on any purchase that isn't 100% satisfactory. Anytime, for any reason. It's that simple. For more details, learn more about the Orvis 100% satisfaction guarantee.

2. How are refunds issued?
 

Answer: We will issue a full refund in the form of the original method of payment minus any shipping and/or return label fees as long as proof of purchase is provided, such as a store receipt or shipping order summary. Coupons or Orvis Visa Rewards will be issued in the form of an Orvis Gift Card.


3. How long will it take to receive my refund?
  Answer: Normally refunds are processed within 3-5 days from when we receive your merchandise. During the holiday season (December through February), refunds may take up to 7-14 days or more.

4. What if I want a refund and I no longer have my receipt?
 

Answer: We will refund you the lowest price within the last 90 days in the form of an Orvis Gift Card.


5. I paid for an item with a credit card and I've requested a refund. Will my refund be credited directly to my credit card?
 

Answer: If you used a credit card to pay for your original order, then the refund will be issued to the same credit card you used for that order.

If you used a check to pay for your original order, or if you purchased the merchandise from an Orvis Retail Store and used cash, then you will receive a refund check in the mail. If you used a gift card to pay for your original order, then you will receive a gift card in exchange.


6. I sent merchandise back for a refund and I received an Orvis Gift Card. Why?
  Answer: If you return you merchandise without the original proof of purchase and request a refund, then you'll receive an Orvis gift card in the amount of the lowest sale price of the merchandise returned. Be sure to include proof of purchase with your refund requests.

7. Why is my refund less than the original charge?
  Answer: The original shipping and handling fees are not generally refunded. Also, if you used the Orvis Easy Return label, then $6.95 is deducted from your refund. ($10 will be deducted for Canadian returns.)

8. If I exchange an item for a different style, size or color, how will I be charged/remibursed for the difference in cost?
  Answer: First, call 888-235-7635 anytime and we’ll place your new order charging your credit card, but we’ll waive regular shipping charges. Then once we receive your return, we’ll credit you for the cost of the original item.

9. I want to return a gift for a refund but I don't want the purchaser to know that I returned it. Can I get a refund without them knowing it was returned?
  Answer: Yes. Complete the Orvis Return and Exchange Form, making sure to check the box at the top of the form entitled "I am returning a gift."

10. I have a Retail Orvis Gift Receipt. Can I return my item for a refund?
  Answer: Yes. Returns accompanied by a Retail Gift Receipt are refunded in the form of an Orvis Gift Card.

11. Can I return items for a refund that were purchased at an Orvis Outlet or at an Event Sale?
 

Answer: Yes - Orvis will refund the original method of payment as long as proof of purchase is provided with the return. For more information about returning your merchandise, visit our Return Process Center.


12. Can I return items for a refund that were purchased through an independent Orvis Dealer or one of Orvis’s liquidation partners?
  Answer: Yes - Returns should be made to the dealer or liquidation partner where the purchase originated.  If you are unable to return the items to the place of purchase, refer to the guidelines above for returns with a receipt, return without a receipt, or gift returns.

I received an Orvis Gift Card for a gift. Can I obtain a refund?
