Learn to Fly Fish with Orvis
Fly Fishing 101 & 201
As our Fly Fishing 101 and Fly Fishing 201 classes draw to a close for the 2013 season, we would like to extend a warm thank you everyone who participated. We hope you enjoyed these classes as much as we enjoyed bringing them to you. They will be back and better than ever in 2014.
While we ramp up these programs for next year, we would like to take this opportunity to let you know that even though FF101 and FF201 may be over for the season, many of our stores will be holding their own Fly Fishing 301 events. These are store specific and include such things as trips with Orvis-Endorsed guides and outfitters, fishing outings on local waters, on-stream fishing clinics, casting lessions, fly-tying classes, and other various in-store seminars throughout the year. These will be excellent learning opportunities for FF101 and FF201 graduates, those brand-new to fly fishing, as well as those with more advanced skills. Check with your local Orvis Retail Store for their schedule of Fly Fishing 301 events.
If you're looking for a great way to get the family together outside, our FF101 class is the perfect event to get started. Fly fishing is a sport the whole family can participate in. All ages are welcome to attend the event, but those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Bring the whole family and learn what this great sport is all about.
Upon Completion of the Courses:
At some classes, the Orvis FF 101 instructors will be assisted by certifed fly-casting instructors from the Federation of Fly Fishers. FFF instructors have been trained, tested and certified to be effective teachers of fly casting. This program has over 1,500 certified instructors around the world.
Space is limited in these classes. Please RSVP to one of the participating locations below to reserve your space.
