Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Introdction My wife and I attended the fly fishing school in Edwards, CO with Jeff Lyon as our instructor. Jeff did a great job covering a wide range of topics in a clear manner. We spent a lot of time working on the practical stuff - casting and landing fish. After the two days were over, we were able to catch a couple of fish on our own. We can't recommend this school highly enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic "Everything" Course Mine was a great experience. We covered all the basics and while I have fly fished for several years this course helped me understand everything I was doing wrong (and right). It was a great refresher in some areas, a great learning experience in others. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two day lesson My first time ever holding a fly rod. Jeff Lyon's instructions were so direct and simple. He calmly got me casting correctly and soon afterwards I had my first catch on a fly, I'm HOOKED! Jeff is knowledgable, easy-going, and his passion for fishing really carries over. I am very pleased with his instruction and will be happy to have a follow-up with him in the future. Tight lines!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A masterclass from a master teacher/guide Jeff from FFO taught me how to overcome my bad habits as a self-taught fly-fisherman and to become an altogether competent and confident fly caster and fisherman. He has a great, patient demeanor, deep knowledge of the art and a real love of teaching, guiding and fishing. The course is great, and worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great class and fantastic instructor! I attended the first class of 2015 and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Jeff Lyon is a fantastic instructor and made the class informative and fun. I had been fly fishing a few times and had a fair amount of knowledge coming in, but after two days with Jeff I feel my understanding (and hopefully skill if I keep at it) have multiplied many times over. Thanks to Jeff for a great two days!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent experience Jeff was a great teacher, very patient with the novices ( including me). Was able to get us making successful casts, with catching fish on the training pond, as well as the Eagle River on day 2. I learned a lot, and look forward to buying gear and practicing my casts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Acheived my goals--Great School! I took this school in order to become at least somewhat self-sufficient on the water, able to rig my own rod, tie on a fly, and improve my casting. The two-day school was terrific and I believe that I can now enjoy this sport even more with my new knowledge and skills. Recommend it highly for novice and more advanced too. The Lodge at Cordillera is beautiful, and facilities are first rate with both lakes and trout streams that are top notch. Jeff Lyon was head guide and Tim McCabe assisted in a great fly fishing school experience. Both were friendly, fun to be with, and willing to help everyone have a great time while learning a ton. Great guys. Great experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful way to learn What can you say about the beauty of Colorado and the zen of fly fishing. This class was expertly taught by several fishing experts. Jeff, Steve, Tim and Eric. You guys are terrific. Even though I knew the basics of fly fishing. Your collective expertise and ability to see the nuances of a cast was infinitely helpful. I came away feeling more confident about my abilities and will be implementing what you taught me. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
