Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ugh! The pros...these are some nice looking boots. Especially when you compare them to the Simms Flats Sneaker. The cons...very narrow! I wore these boots on Christmas Island for 3 days before I couldn't take it anymore. I'll lose 3 toe nails because of these shoes. They literally cost me a visit to the ER to have my feet looked at and nails removed. Con number two...construction. There's something about the way they're put together on the inside seams that make them very uncomfortable. If you have a wider foot these boots may be an issue for you. Overall very disappointed with the performance of these boots. Something I'll be reminded of for the next few months as my nails grow back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No blisters! I wore these boots for three days walking around ascension bay near Punta Allen and didn't get any blisters ever though I didn't break them in or wear socks. Very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great flats boots Used these boots for 8-10 hours a day for 5 straight days on a mixture of mud, sand and coral flats. They performed well and were comfortable all day long. Spectacular boots that I would recommend to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent wading boots I wore these on a recent trip to Tahiti and they were excellent. They're a bit heavy for wading on a typical sand flat, but when I needed foot protection (e.g. when there was coral around or if fishing on a reef edge) they were excellent. They are comfortable, don't fill with sand and provide a really high level of protection for your feet. Definitely recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bullet proof on oyster flats Got these for christmas and I just wore them for the first time in Chokoloskee in the Everglades. We would get out and wade the oyster flats and these things protected my feet like armor. Both my buddies ended up with cuts with cheaper flats shoes. I was so happy I had these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Womens sizes You guys are a drag. Say you support women's fly fishing but don't offer a full line of gear. Men's size 7 won't fit most all women.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not what I was hoping for I wore this boot for a couple of hours fly fishing for stripers and ended up with blisters on both feet. There is a seam where the tongue is stitched to the side of the boot with a little flap that rubs with each step. I don't think it makes a difference if you wear socks or not, I did. The cuff does not keep out sand and is too high for comfortable walking. It is well made but needs modification to be considered a good flats boot. I may be able to use it with stocking foot waders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best flats boot for ANKLE SUPPORT! I've worn these flats hiker boots on several trips Redfishing the Texas Gulf Coast, and they are SECOND to NONE!! Incredible ANKLE SUPPORT which is so important for wading soft-bottom flats, and the thicker rubber sole gives peace-of-mind against sharp objects (coral, etc.) poking through when wading. The fact there are no steel parts too, is great, so there's no chance of rusting in the saltwater. They fit perfectly when I ordered my shoe-size, so no need to up-size by one. And I wear the Orvis fold-over neoprene socks in them for perfect comfort wading saltwater flats for a day at a time. They dry quickly overnight too, if you store them upside down, or on an angle. Even though I also have the Orvis Premium Christmas Island Wading Boots, I've retired them in favor of the Andros Hikers! Keep up the great work on great products, ORVIS!!!
