These are comfortable, rugged waders with some innovative features. The convertible top has a clever design that works easily. There is small built in dry bag in the front in case you need to take your cellphone fishing (I don't!). The built in gravel guards are functional. These are cut generously, so they're good for cold weather fishing. These are excellent waders for the price.

Fit Great; Durability Not So Great -
By: ABennettph from Jackson, WY
I purchased these waders from the Orvis store in Jackson, WY sometime in January 2014. The fit and features of the waders are great. No issues there. The problem with them is their durability. After maybe 40 days in them over the course of a year, they developed many leaks on the inside of each leg where the fabric rubs together while walking. I rarely if ever fish from a boat, so I do a lot of walking/hiking. To say I expected a lot more from these is an understatement. Especially since my previous pair of waders from a different manufacturer cost half as much and took twice as long to develop leaks. I'll be sending them in for repair and am curious to hear what they have to say.
Well made Very comfortable Great for waking thru brush Especially like waist option for warm days

I'm 6'5" tall and 205lbs. The Large/Xlong size fits me great. THANK YOU ORVIS FOR MAKING SIZES FOR TALL GUYS! I was concerned about the bootie size as my street shoes are 12 or 13 and my wading boots are size 13. The neoprene booties were a little tight when I tried them on in the store. I then tried the XL and the bootie was definitely too big and the body was too wide so I went with the large/Xlong. The booties stretched a bit and fit just fine now. I've worn these waders on 4 or 5 trips so far and they have been great. I chose these over the guide model because they were lighter weight for summer/fall fishing. I'm glad I did as they are very comfortable without weighing me down or making me hot. So far these waders have performed very well and I am glad I bought them.
Very comfortable and full featured -
Excellent waders -- they fit well and are comfortable on the hottest and most humid days. I've hiked miles in them in July and they really do breath. My wife also has a pair and feels the women's sizing is spot on. Can't speak to durability because I just got them this season.

I'd despaired of ever finding decent waders that fit my big feet and everything fits here. For two months everything was great. Then the crotch seam started to go. I returned them and well three weeks later I've heard nothing. where is the famed Orvis customer service. I'm off on a fishing holiday next week and it looks like I'm going to have to pick up another pair somewhere , after this experience I,m not sure it will be Orvis.
Good design & quality, but confuse -
Just received these waders, so they haven't gotten wet yet, but I'm impressed with the fit, design features, and product quality. But I'm confused. regarding the use of the second pair of lightweight suspenders. Called Orvis customer service asking about this and received a reply that made absolutely no sense, so I remain confused.
Perfect fit -

These are the best fitting waders I've ever owned. The convertible tops lower to the perfect height for float tubing. But keeping with Orvis tradition there were no instructions included oh how to use their unique "Convertible" wader design. No instructions with the waders, no instructions on the web or in the catalog, I was left to figure it out on my own. Unlike other Orvis products it wasn't too hard to figure out.
Convertible Top Waders -
I ordered these for a fishing trip with my HS buddies to Halifax Nova Scotia. I can't wait to get into the Margaree River - where the fishing for Atlantic Salmon is supposed to be fantastic. The weather is going to be fluctuation between warm and cool, and being able to put the "top down" will be AWESOME! I grew up on some great trout rivers in NY, but now live in South West Florida, where wading requires only a swim suit. I'm sure with these I will be almost as comfortable.
