Improved Winged K.C.'s Creature

Trout love the rubber legs, bushy hackle, and rattle eyes of this dry fly.

There are times in the river when trout have to rely on what the wind blows in the river. This is when terrestrials come into their own and anything that has a buggy nature, that looks like an ant, a beetle, a caterpillar or grasshopper is fair game. Bass and panfish are just as opportunistic and this pattern fished near a bank can produce big results. Color, Tan.
In sizes: 6, 8, 10.

Great for those days when nothing is working in the summer. Yes it's similar to the Chernobyl ant but it's a tad easier to see. You can't miss a number #8-10, com on......if you can't see it, you need help LOL

Ordered this fly and when it came in I opened the package and as soon as my dog saw it she flipped out ready to attack it. Very lifelike.

my favorite new terrestrial - 8/9/2010

Fished this fly in the middle of summer for big rainbows in faster water. Provided a good mimic to the grasshopper hatch. Wish I would have bought more than one when I purchased last. Great fly!

    Utterly Awesome - 7/9/2009
    By: from Plainview, TX

This fly is amazing for all sorts of different situations. It works amazing for trying to imitate any variety of terrestrials to trouts in streams and lakes. Where it has excelled for me though is in lakes with bluegills close to shore and also with smaller largemouth bass. This is a great fly whose only problem I found with it is that the plastic eyes broke after the first fish. It still worked great though. I loved it!

Doesn't look like much in the picture but......... - 12/6/2008
    By: from Roanoke, VA

I just got this little guy in a pack of assorted trout flies and I'm much more impressed than I expected to be. The fact is, I wasn't really thrilled when I saw the picture of this fly on here, but in reality it's very lifelike when viewed from below, and I could see fish thinking he's a grasshopper or cricket, even in clear water.
