TJ started with Orvis in 2004 after college, and soon became the Fishing Manager of the former Deerfield store. He is now the manager of the Chicago store. TJ fishes nearby steelhead rivers in the winter and trout streams in the summer, in either Wisconsin or Michigan. Also an avid saltwater fly fisherman, he has fished through the Caribbean and Central America for tarpon, bonefish, permit, and anything else that will take a fly. When TJ is not on the water or in the Orvis Chicago store, he spends time with his wife Lizzy and taking his Vizsla dog Lily grouse hunting.
