In her 14 years and counting, Copa has been by the side of Orvis President Simon Perkins through myriad changes—Montana guide life, a move to Vermont, marriage, children, and more. She has been a constant source of love and companionship, and as she nears the end of her life, Simon reflects on how much their relationship has meant to him. In the fall of 2020, he wanted to give her a chance to return to the Montana prairies of her youth one last time, to run through the prairie in search of sharp-tailed grouse.

Bromley is an integral part of the Galloway family, and he's the perfect playmate for two energetic young boys. When a terrible accident left their dog injured and everyone unsure of what the future holds, the Galloway family fear the worst. But Bromley's resilience and zest for life brings them all back to their "happy place," demonstrating once again how the love of a dog—and a dog's love—-can bind a family together.

For the Love of Luck

Some dogs are special — the way they soldier through the ups and downs, bring tail-thumping optimism to our day, and make us better people. As Nancy Mackinnon describes, “It’s an amazing experience to go through a lifetime with a dog.”

Working Dogs

They have one job, and they’re experts at it. Our dogs make every day better, and welcoming them into the Orvis Home Office was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Our fellow, furry colleagues brighten up our mornings, chase tennis balls at lunchtime, and snooze away the afternoons.
