Sample of Typical Itinerary:
Each day hunting starts early with a hearty breakfast at the lodge. On the first day of your hunt you may choose to spend some time on “the bird walk” a seven station clay range designed to simulate shooting scenarios encountered in upland bird hunting, to sharpen and refresh your shooting skills. The rest of that day and all other days are spent hunting on the Hunting Grounds at Pleasant Valley. With an expert guide and world class gun dogs you are sure to get in a lot of great shooting.
Hunts at Falcon’s Ledge are conducted in the traditional western walk-up style over pointing or flushing dogs. Your guide and dogs work as a team to find birds for you. Is there is anything as wonderful as walking in autumn fields, watching fine gun dogs coursing before you, sniffing each scent as they race ahead. Our dogs love to hunt and want nothing more than to find birds. Guests typically hunt two to four hunters with one guide and a team of dogs. We can tailor the level of exertion required and terrain on your hunt to match your physical ability.
At the end of each day’s hunt, your birds are processed and packaged for you to take home. Lunch is served each day in the field or at the Pleasant Valley Hunting Grounds lodge, a beautiful new facility serving lunch everyday.
Guests may choose to add fly fishing options - Cast & Blast during the fall and late spring hunting season. Weather for hunting and fishing is always perfect in the fall and can make a really great trip.
