The Story

Dave's hopper fly is a great, classic dry fly that imitates a grasshopper and gets big strikes from trout. Fish this dry fly along the banks during the height of summer for the best action.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good hopper Caught some fish, seems to work. Floats well and good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Trout I had yet to fly-fish for trout. I only had expirience in lakes. I got the Dave's hopper at my local Orvis store in MI durring the summer. terrestrials where everywhere when we went to the river. Needless to say, I caught my first trout on this fly. Best thrill and challenge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Fly This is one of my favorite hopper patterns. The bluegill love them. The legs could have been tied better but these flies seems to hold up well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok I got four of these hoppers, all of them were poorly tied. I sent two back because the wings and back legs were just so haggard. The other two I managed to finagle back into shape. They catch fish and are pretty durable but I honestly wouldn't buy this hopper again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking hopper This is a well tied, deer hair hopper. There is in detail, presentation in the tied legs. Top tier quality. You could use this as a small popper to get attention.
