The Story

The Beauchamp Jacket has been reimagined in the Icons collection by Barbour. To celebrate its 125th anniversary, Barbour is offering a special Icons Re-Engineered collection, a limited-edition range of iconic jackets that featured large in Barbour's history. This medium-weight waxed cotton Icon features an aged finish that looks like you've owned it for years. Lined in Barbour's classic tartan, the jacket is detailed with a fine-wale corduroy collar, Cordura® bearer's shoulder, and a full-width game pocket. Detachable hood. Zipped wallet pocket and two handwarmer pockets. In navy.

Body: cotton/polyester. Shell: waxed cotton. Lining: pure wool. Spot clean. Imported.

Sizes M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52); about 31" long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Barbour Beauchamp jacket This is one of the best Barbour jacket ever made period ! Everything from the fabric to the smallest detail are meticulously designed and executed. Beauchamp is one of the heaviest Barbour jackets and it’s very warm and comfortable even in the winter months. Please , note that most of the negative reviews are for the customer service , not for the jacket itself. Orvis and Barbour did great job bringing back to life this iconic jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coat...Heavier than expected Love this coat...definitely going to be warm. Has some insulation, not just a shell. Did not get the nice wooden hanger and garment bag as others have indicated, but the hood did come with it! Fit is really spot on...ordered XXL sleeve length perfect and even have a little room for layer despite my gut(sad face). Glad I grabbed one before they were gone!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Hood! Was disappointed that no hood was included as per the product description. Also, the fit is much boxier and bulky than appears in the photos. I've started the return process.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great jacket, problematic shipping The jacket is great. Note that it wears big (if you wear a large buy a medium). Also the picture is misleading: the colour is kind of greenish and definately not navy. I think it's something between dark green and navy blue. The big problem is Orvis. The first time that I asked for a size change (from Large to Medium) they shipped my a Large again. In both cases, the hood of the jacket was included, as specified by the description of the product. In the third return, they did not included the hood. The representative tried to argue that the hood is not in the picture(!), so it should not be included, even though the product description indicates else. I still have not heard from them. Very poor customer service

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a tank! This is one heavy duty piece of outerwear. I was skeptical about the size chart - at 5’ 10” and about 165 pounds, I thought I’d be swimming in a size ‘L.’ No worries... the fit is roomy but sleeves and shoulders are perfect, and with a mid-weight sweater underneath the body of the jacket is just right. This is a warm jacket... the shell is substantial; and the tartan lining provides plenty of added warmth. Perfect for our relentless Pacific Northwest rain and upper 30s winter months. The olive waxed cotton fabric looks nicely weathered and broken-in. Leather trim is a nice touch, as is the wind tab at the throat and the quilted lining at the bottom edge of the jacket. I went for the Barbour merino scarf to match the tartan wool lining - a nice, reasonably priced add-on. With the jacket and scarf both on sale at Orvis, a great value all in all. One quibble... perhaps I’m just a klutz, but I find the zipper difficult to use, and I’m likely to just forego the zipper altogether and just button up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, well made jacket The jacket is very nice - fully lined, warm, not heavy with nice leather details so Moldova did not disappoint. Outer shell color (olive in my case) looks excellent. I have a few minor gripes with the jacket. 1) It is loose in the bottom If I were visibly pregnant - as most men in my age group are - it would fit me perfectly. As I am - it is rater loose. Not excessively loose to consider returning it but loose enough to complain. 2) The fastener in the internal wallet pocket is made of velcro. Fortunately it is a very small piece hidden inside. My personal belief is that velcro has no place in classy garment - it cheapens it. Other than these drawbacks - the Jacket is very well made and I recommend it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb craftsmanship, Beauchamp coat Wonderfully made jacket, hangs at just above hip, perfect car coat. Wool lining was terrific on a snowy, raw New Eng day in Feb. Loving this piece !
