The Story

Enlist the help of Trico Unlimited Orvis-endorsed guide Brew Moscarello on your fly-fishing adventure in Vermont. Our mission is simple: To offer a lighthearted, fun, intelligent approach to the intricacies of fly fishing while providing our clients with the best possible opportunities to catch fish. At Trico, we take great pride in developing our clients’ fly-fishing knowledge and skill set, thereby building a fly-fishing foundation to last a lifetime. For over 30 years, our founder Brew Moscarello has been fishing the waters of Southern Vermont, and more often than not, he can be found scouting the banks of the famed Battenkill with his German Shepherd, Charlie Boy. As a former Orvis fly-fishing instructor and snowboard pioneer, Brew exhibits the patience, skills, knowledge, and experience required to assist clients with not only their Southern Vermont adventure, but with their fly-fishing education as well.

We offer “on the water” fly-fishing instruction and guiding services to a wide variety of ages and skill levels. We take great pride in our ability to connect with our clients as well as our knowledge of the local watersheds to provide a fun-filled day in some of Southern Vermont’s most beautiful settings. Whether we’re wading in the gliding riffles of the Battenkill or floating downstream in a canoe, there is plenty of surrounding beauty to take in as well as fly-fishing knowledge to be gained.

"Being surrounded by nature while relaxing on the banks of the infamous Battenkill river is no doubt a major part of the adventure, but if you aren't improving on your abilities to catch fish while having fun, then you aren't experiencing the beauty of our sport."
-Brew "Little Fly" Moscarello
