Starting their descent to the sea, our rivers begin as small creeks in the heights of the San Juan Mountain range. These creeks offer a dry-fly-fishing paradise through the summer months, being populated with opportunistic smaller wild trout and native cutthroat. Our rivers pick up traction farther down the hill as these small creeks conjoin on their descent into valleys and canyons and offer habitat for larger trout. Closer to civilization, these growing rivers bring about opportunities for float fishing before they move on into the picturesque high deserts of Colorado and New Mexico, where large brown trout tread. Duranglers year-round guide service specializes in custom-guided trips on all of these waters. From small high-country creeks to slow, meandering high-desert rivers and tailwaters, the Durango area holds a massive amount of fishing opportunities. Our waters include the Animas River, Rio Grande River, Los Pinos River, Dolores River, Florida River, Piedra River, and more creeks and high alpine lakes than could be fished in a lifetime. We also have a plethora of lakes and reservoirs that hold pike, bass, carp, walleye, sunfish, and trout.
How can I book a trip?
Please give us a call at 970-385-4081
What is the difference between a full-day and a half-day trip?
$50 less for a half-day trip. Four hours of fishing for a half day as opposed to eight on a full day.
Do you guide families and children?
Yes! We love getting younger anglers out on the water; however, we guide children younger than ten-years-old on a case-by-case basis.
What is your cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit is required upon booking. A full refund of the deposit, less a $20 cancellation fee, for trips that are cancelled more than 15 days prior. 14 days to 48 hours prior to the trip date cancellation, forfeiture of deposit. Cancellations less than 48 hours, or “no show”, will result in the forfeiture of deposit and remaining trip balance. Guided fishing trips proceed regardless of weather or water conditions. Therefore, inclement weather or undesirable fishing conditions are NOT acceptable reasons to cancel and have a deposit refunded.
