The Story

Get down with a tunghead bead and show up with some holographic flash. Excellent for colder outings when midges are the primary food source and the fish suspended and waiting for food to come to them.

Sizes 16, 18, 20.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Summer Fly For me, I have landed many a trout on this type of nymph almost exclusively in the summer months down South. Trout keep biting this throughout the day. I have had multiple bites on this fly in just one spot. For some reason, the summer time seems to be when it is optimal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm not kidding! The quality of this fly is amazing. I can’t tie flies and I usually buy mine from a local fly shop… Until now! None can compare to Orvis. This is a very successful pattern for me. Caught lots of trout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Midge Pattern Recently bought this midge pattern for the green color. I believe it will match the midges perfectly in western PA. Cannot wait to try them out on first day of trout season!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT FLY!!! I have just had nothing but hook up after hook up with this midge dropped under any larger nymph. I just recommended this midge to my fishing bud.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't let the size fool you... Early season in Wisconsin means snow, cold temperatures, and midges! This nymph nails the mark, especially in the black or olive colors. It gets down quick with its TH bead which means more time in the party zone, and less time trying to find it. It's quickly becoming a fan favorite amongst my buddies and I and I'm looking forward to trying the other colors as well.
