The Story

Spend an amazing day experiencing the beauty of Northern New Hampshire with Orvis-endorsed guide Paul Starring. Northern New Hampshire is full of great opportunities to pursue both cold water and warm water species. The lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams are home to trout, landlocked salmon, pike, and bass. Solitude is easy to find and each season offers its own opportunities.

If your interested in following some "Blue Lines" pursuing wild brook trout, almost every small stream holds beautiful fish ready for a dry fly or small streamer. Most of these streams require a fun drive on dirt roads, some hiking through lush forests, and the desire to find out what's around the next bend.

The upper stretches of the Ammonoosuc & Connecticut Rivers provide perfect wade fishing conditions for browns, bows, and brookies. As the rivers begin to wind through farmland drifting is the best method to find browns & bows. Bass and northern pike can be found in the lower stretches as well.

Landlocked salmon are found in multiple lakes and can be pursued during both the spring and fall runs. These fresh fish are energetic and just pure fun to catch!

Each day is tailored to both the guests preferences and the fishing conditions. Whether new to fly fishing or an experienced angler, Paul wants every guest to end their day a better angler.

  • Rainbow, Brown, & Brook Trout. Landlocked Salmon, Pike, & Bass
  • Fish the Ammonoosuc, Connecticut, & Androscoggin Rivers, Remote Ponds & Streams
  • Learn more, enjoy nature, and eat well
  • Rates start from $225 for a half day wade or $475 for a full day drift
  • Prime fishing runs May through October

Orvis is pleased to offer our travel customers access to two valuable services: Global Rescue travel membership and IMG Signature Travel Insurance℠.
