Orvis-Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide
Explore the unique waters of South West England with Rodney Wevill of Rodders On The Fly Guide Service, located in the heart of the Westcountry. Rodders On The Fly Guide Service’s mission is to help anglers improve their fishing skills, from novice to experienced levels, and send them home with a great fly fishing experience that enables them to get more out of their future fishing.
Rodney is a Level 2 licenced angling coach who has been fly fishing for 45 years and has experience with varied saltwater and freshwater species. In the last 10 years, he’s spent much of his time winter pike fishing and early-season brown trout loch–style bank fishing. Fly tying also plays a huge part in his life. After so many years of fly fishing, Rodney is proud to be an Orvis-Endorsed guide and have the opportunity to share his knowledge and give back to the sport he loves so deeply.
Orvis is pleased to offer our travel customers access to two valuable services: Global Rescue travel membership and IMG Signature Travel Insurance℠.

We do not offer accommodation but will gladly provide recommendations in the area.
After contacting us by email or phone, you will receive a response directly from Rodney to better understand what you are looking to accomplish with your time with us. Whether you are looking to hone a specific skill, just getting started fly fishing and trying to accelerate the learning curve, or simply want an experienced guide to help you find fish and read water, we'll discuss all of this during our first conversation.
Next, we will look at your availability and get your day booked. We'll send a confirmation email for your reservation via email. A £50 deposit is requested upon booking. If, for any reason, your trip needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, we can either do so by communicating seven days prior to your trip. A full refund will be issued if cancelled seven days before your trip. We cater for 1 or 2 anglers.
Weather can be extremely variable on the moorland lakes. Bring appropriate clothing for the summer or winter weather.
