The Story

A mini streamer tied on a jig hook, the Tungsten Jig Bugger has made a splash on the European competition scene. A tungsten bead head ensures a quick rate of descent, while the compact lines of the fly ensure it can be easily cast on your everyday rod. No need to pull out the streamer rod for this workhorse. Dead drift it under an indicator or strip slowly as you would a normal streamer.
Sizes 8, 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tungsten Jig bugger I decided to try and use the Tungsten Jigger since the hook faces up when using a strike indicator. It resulted in less snags and more bites. I was able to catch the largest rainbow trout I ever caught using a size 12 in the Adirondacks.I started buying Orvis flies instead of tying my own after I noticed I was able to catch more trout using these flies. There is something about the construction of these flies that makes their motion in water especially attractive to the trout. The bugger also looks close to a caddis case as I matched it to what was under the rocks in this particular stream. I would highly recommend you add one of these to your fly box.
