2022 marks the tenth year that Orvis and our customers have supported the Petfinder Foundation. It’s a simple program: when you donate, we match your donation. All money raised goes toward supporting the Petfinder Foundation’s mission of helping ensure that no adoptable pet is euthanized for lack of a good home. The foundation saves lives by helping more than 13,000 shelters nationwide rescue dogs and place them in loving homes. To date, Orvis and our customers have raised $1 million and saved an estimated 75,000 dogs.

A dog’s quality of life is of the greatest importance. In addition to comfort, nourishment, health, and safety, dogs also deserve a life free of anxiety and full of joy. We are proud to support the Petfinder Foundation’s commitment to shelter dog enrichment playgroup programs. In shelters throughout the country, playgroups are providing shelter dogs with essential social and play time—improving their mental and physical health, increasing their happiness, and increasing their chances of being adopted. Participating shelters also report a reduction in canine aggression, an increase in compatible adoption matches, and an increase in volunteer support. Help us support more playgroups and the construction of play structures and enrichment spaces. Because, after all, we all could use more playtime.

Canine cancer affects 1 in 4 dogs, and half of all dogs over ten years old. Fortunately, in recent years, veterinary scientists have made tremendous research strides—recent studies have led to new research tools, better diagnostics, and improved chemotherapy treatments. But there is more work to be done. That's why The Orvis Company partners with Morris Animal Foundation, a nonprofit organization that invests in animal health science, to support canine cancer research and improve the health of all dogs.
