Located about 50 miles South of the city of Esquel this vast working sheep ranch encompasses 435,000 acres in beautiful Patagonia. From freestone rivers to spring creeks this ranch offers over 96 miles of private water set at the base of the Andes Mountains. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was a great trip Our favorite part of the trip was fishing, food & wine with great conversations. If we could have changed something about our trip we would of skipped Mendosa and fished for a 2nd week. The Mai 10 transfers Orvis Travel set up in Buenos Aires were GREAT! They took all of the fear out of the Airport transfers. We highly Recommend them! Estancia Tecka is a tough place to get to. You have to allow for travel changes and bad weather. Once your there, they will take good care of you. As a fly fisherman, I wake-up early to fish first light. That is NOT the Argentina fishing schedule. It took me 3 days to fully appreciate the RELAXED Argentina Schedule! Breakfast at 9:00, Fishing by 10:00, Lunch at 2:30, siesta, afternoon fishing at 5:30 to dark, shower, cocktails at 10:30, dinner at 11:00 and finally to bed around 1:00AM. Once I adjusted, I had the time of my life!
