The Story

From one of the premier tarpon guides on the Gulf Coast, Mangum's Dragon Tail fly is made from an amazing new material that moves and undulates as it swims. Poly-based synthetic fabric with exceptionally diverse applications. Great lifelike movement in the water. Perfect for streamers, or shorten, apply adhesive, and use for a variety of body, wing, and tail applications. Comes in packs of 5 hanks. Colors in order from left to right: black, dark olive, purple, gray, hot pink, fluorescent orange, tan, chartreuse, mustard, fluorescent yellow and white.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It will be a great fly If you fish stripped bass, you have to have “dragon tails”, the same goes for bluefish. They can’t resist it ! Check it on YouTube, and good luck !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great action, no durability The material is incredibly easy to use and the action is superb. The material does not hold up at all. One fish and done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As close to live motion as possible! After trying a Mangum Dragon Tail on pike in Manitoba, I wanted to tie some myself. I bought the large, medium and micros to tie for Pike, smallmouth and trout. I was able to combine the halves of the large Dragon Tails to make some Chartreuse/Purple streamers that should really get the pike going this spring after ice-out. The movement of these fibers is fantastic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the way they tie. It is cold and raining so the water is to high and muddy to see how these tails will swim but the fly looks good.
