Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great teacher! I booked Mike for a 1/2 day trip on the Lower Yuba. What a great day we had. Mike is a great teacher. He spent really quality time with both my son and me teaching us basics and also some of the finer points of fly fishing. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mike. We are looking forward to fishing with you again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Experience Our experience with Mike was top notch. He scouted the area he was going to take us prior to our trip, he showed up completely prepared for any scenario (my rental waders did not come with a wading belt and he had one for me to use), remained patient while being hammered with questions and overall took the time to make sure our experience was the best it could possibly be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mike has me hooked! My first experience fly fishing and now I am hooked. Mike was our guide and walked me through the entire process from first getting into the stream to landing my first catch. Mike is very personable and very knowledgeable about the sport and nature. The entire experience was relaxing and enlightening. I would definitely recommend Mike whether its your first time or you are getting real serious and want to learn from a pro how its done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous time with Mike Pease I booked a trip with Mike for myself and my friend who had never fished before. Mike went out of his way to make the whole day a very positive experience for us both and was the perfect first time instructor for my buddy. As a result, he's hooked on fly fishing and ready to go again. Mike is also very professional and thorough in the pre trip communication and information he provides so the whole day runs as smoothly as one can hope for. Book a trip with Mike, you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mike is the best! I was tasked with finding a trip for my 70 year plus old father that hadn't fly fished fished in 40 years. It had been like 15 years since I had fished as well. Not an easy one but the great team at the Roseville store highly recommended Mike Pease and his classes/on river program at the ranch near Quincy. I wasn't sure what to expect for both of us but Mike had the entire program lined up and clearly communicated with both of us on the phone beforehand. We ended up booking the 3 day program and it literally could not have gone better for both of us. My dad was so excited he wants to line up another trip soon with Mike. Mike is a math teacher and you can quickly tell his passion for both teaching and fishing. We all learned so much. The combination of a beautiful place and excellent, professional teaching/guiding made for a fantastic trip. I highly recommend booking Mike for either his program or on a standalone trip!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great intro to the sport! Had a fantastic introduction to fly fishing with Mike on a half day clinic for myself and my two boys, ages 11 and 13. We started off learning casting basics at a pond, then went down to great spot on the Middle Fork of the Feather to put all the pieces together. Mike clearly has a deep well of experience, yet can still make the sport approachable, accessible and fun for beginners. He’s great at connecting with kids too, and conveying his passion for the sport with them. My older son caught his fist fish, and the smile on his face is a good indication for how much we enjoyed the excursion with Mike. Very highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't realize learning could be so fun! Had a great few days on the feather river with a group of fellow anglers all under Mike's watch. All of us anxious to improve our skills. Mike did an excellent job. We all had a great time and made some new friends!
