Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Shelf Experience This whole trip was awesome. Fantastic lodge, with great food, facilities and very accommodating staff. The equipment offered was great. I love the Clearwater Switch outfit that came with the class (not sure if they are offering that in future classes). I use it all the time now on the Salmon River. I cant say enough about our instructor, Pete Kutzer. Most will know Pete from the Orvis casting videos. Just a super authentic guy who happens to be an outstanding instructor and representative of the Orvis brand. Pete's patience and ability to listen helped the group (5 of us) to learn the nuances of two handed rods and the specific body of water that we were fishing. I've been back to the Salmon River at least a half dozen times since the class and was able build on the fundamentals learned over the three days we spent in the classroom and on the water. If you live within 3 hours of the Salmon River and are looking to get into Steelhead fishing on the fly, you're crazy if you don't consider signing up for this course.
