Excellant collar for identification
I'm a police officer who bought this reflective collar for my drug dog.
I was concerned he may get out of my back yard (especially at night). If he got out it would be hard for drivers to see him in the roadway, since he is a black lab. This collar is highly reflective and you can see it from a very long distance away. I'm glad they improved the collar by embroidering the information you desire on it. I had them print the police dept. he works for, so he could be returned if he gets loose. The ONLY con I see with this collar is it is not made heavy enough to attach a lead to as a primary collar. I would still recommend this collar to others, especially police agencies who have expensive dogs.

My dogs both have reflective collars and at night I can shine my tactical flashlight and easily see them ( large outdoor spaces)

Well built and super reflective
We like this collar a lot. It is super easy to see when headlights shine on it. We went a different direction with the inscription--instead of the dog's name and our phone number, we put on his microchip number and their toll free number. If he gets lost and his tags are missing at least the collar will have the information to get him located.

Watch the Width
I have a meduim dog and the width of the collar is 5/8. It looks like a cats collar. I did notice the size L and XL are the normal 1 inch width. So I am returning and will reorder a 1 inch collar in another style.

Quality functional night-vision collar!
This is the second version of this collar we bought for our Boykin Spaniel -- a brown dog invisible in the dark. She grew out of the puppy version we purchased. The greatest feature is the highly reflective coating, so the slightest glance with a flashlight or even indirect light from a yard light makes your dog visible. Pretty pricey, like everything Orvis, but high quality, like everything Orvis!

Bad quality!
The reflective portion has completely worn off after less than a year. Now because the font is black and background is black my phone number cannot be read at all, rendering this collar completely worthless. Came to expect more from Orvis.
