Don’t get full of algae slime like felt.
Been waiting for 40+ year's with felt never had the confidence like I do with the studs.

Bought to use with Pro wading boots
Studs are fine and come with tool bit to help fit them. On the downside they do not come with instructions on tightening. I have had to judge how tight to put them into the rubber sole. I know that over tightening can strip the rubber just hope they are in tight enough and don’t come loose.

Perfect addition to my wading boot
Gives my wading boots the extra level of traction to give me piece of mind when I take those steps in the river I cannot necessarily see underwater.

Exceptional Grip
This is my second set. After purchasing my first last year, I realized what I had been missing. The studs grip well, added sure footed confidence to my wading and lasted the entire season in which I fished from 2-3 times per week. Now they are an essential for me.

The Best Studs on the Market
If you have wading boots that accommodate studs, you should check these out.
Pros: The studs are extremely aggressive and grab at all angles. The profile lends itself well to finding purchase on seams and rough patches of even the slickest of substrates. The upside carries on through to hopping around slippery banks and from rock to rock. The studs also come with a bit for a power drill so you can install/remove right out of the package.
Cons: The carbide is brittle and the tips will snap off, especially in high wear areas of the boot. Walking long distances on dirt or paved roads will accelerate this process. That said, you can get additional life out of them by rotating the studs a 1/4 turn or rotating the worn/broken tips to low-wear areas on the tread.
Overall: I'm a big guy (200+ lbs) and have bad knees. After slipping and sliding around on several different studs over the years, these have become my go-to. I don't leave on a trip without a set of these installed (and one tucked in the fishing bag).

Work Overall
I'm having the same trouble with the studs breaking off in pieces or snapping in half completely. I still have good traction because not enough of them have broken yet, but it appears that the quality between each stud is not equal for some reason. I like them overall, but my old studs from Orvis that I have been using much longer than these have not had a single breakage incident. Maybe sell those again instead of these studs, just a suggestion.
