Located near the small but modern tourist town of Soldotna, most lodging options in the area have full kitchens, allowing you to prepare your own meals and/or visit one of the several local restaurants close by. No matter which accommodations you choose, being located here in the central Kenai Peninsula puts you right in the middle of the action, within reach of a multitude of renowned fishing options and excursions. The majority of our guests fly to Anchorage International Airport and rent a vehicle, then make the gorgeous 2.5 hour drive south to find us here in the Soldotna area. This drive can be a magical introduction to southcentral Alaska!

We will provide a general itinerary for you at the time of booking, but the specifics of your fishing trips are decided & communicated the day before each trip. This allows us to evaluate the most recent conditions and send you to the area that has the highest likelihood of finding success!

Each morning you will meet your guide at a specified location, normally a boat ramp, where you'll begin your adventure.

We provide all the fishing gear needed for the day as well as your lunch & drinks. You'll need to bring layered clothing, rain gear, and your fishing licenses.

If any fish are kept, your guide will fillet your fish for you and refer you to a fish processing business to get the fillets vacuum packed & frozen, which is sometimes the lodge that you're staying at.

Fishology is rooted in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula, where glacier-fed rivers create Alaska's most iconic salmon and trout fisheries. The Kenai River originates out of the majestic Kenai Mountains, flowing 82 miles through some of the most gorgeous canyons, spruce forests, and wide tundra valleys, carrying cold & clean water from the mountains to the abundant waters of Cook Inlet. Along the way, you'll find some of the finest fishing on planet Earth.

These legendary waters are known for the record-setting salmon run, which feeds a rainbow trout fishery that is unrivaled by any other in North America. Whether you're drifting through the turquoise glacial channels of the Kenai or Kasilof Rivers, forging into the productive waters of Cook Inlet, or soaring over the mountains on a fly-out fishing adventure, every moment will connect you to the wild rhythm of Alaska.

What makes the Kenai so special is its balance of wilderness and civilization. Much of the Kenai Peninsula is road accessible, yet the habitat remains pristine. The Kenai is made up of small & modern communities, but also panoramic vistas, abundant wildlife, soaring snow-capped mountains, glacial rivers, and generations of anglers here to experience it all.

We keep our rates competitive with the other outfitters in the area, and so with Fishology LLC you are getting the very best bang for your buck!

Rates depend on your party size, which trip(s) you decide on, the season, and whether you prefer a shared or private charter.

Please refer to the Rates page found on our website.

And please reach out to us in order to build you a custom package & quote that fulfills all your specific wishes! That's our specialty :)
