The Story

Tyer Josh Jenkins created the Damzel Washington to fool late-summer smallmouths on his Michigan home waters. Damselflies are a protein-rich meal for warm-water fish in stillwaters and rivers alike, and this pattern is built to draw attention. The tapered foam body and rubber legs offer a high-floating, buggy silhouette, while the cupped head gives just the right amount of "pop" when twitched. Equally effective skated or dead-drifted when fish are looking up.
