The Orvis Lowcountry Saltwater Fishing School is a unique three-day experience hosted by Bay Street Outfitters at the Anchorage 1770 Inn, set on historic grounds overlooking the scenic Beaufort River in Beaufort, South Carolina. Surrounded by pristine Lowcountry flats teeming with redfish, this is an ideal setting to learn and enjoy the art of saltwater fly fishing from the bow of a flats boat.

Your adventure begins with expert instruction from one of Bay Street Outfitters' instructors and Orvis-endorsed guides. You'll develop essential fly-fishing skills, including fly casting (with a focus on the double haul), tackle and fly selection, knot tying, hook setting, and techniques for fighting fish. Whether you're new to the sport or refining your cast, this course offers valuable training for future fishing pursuits.

On days two and three, you'll hit the water—two anglers per skiff—with a seasoned Bay Street Outfitters captain. Explore the inshore waters of Port Royal Sound in pursuit of redfish, speckled sea trout, and cobia, depending on the season and conditions.
