Lodging Details
On the Rio Negro, guests stay on a mothership that allow us to move up and down the river. Each day anglers will fish from our fleet of BassTrackers that give the best position for shots at big peacock bass.
The stunning Umuarama yacht is 130 feet long and was built with classic Brazilian luxury in mind. With beautiful Brazilian hardwood inlays throughout the ship, this three-level yacht offers extreme comfort and class with plenty of room to roam. Originally designed to hold 23 guests, the staterooms have been customized as single occupancy rooms.
On the Rio da Lua and Rio Tatuagems, guests stay in deluxe floating cabins with A/C, and a private bath and shower. Exceptional cuisine and cocktails and an incredible staff make this an extraordinary experience.
Your Time With Us
Upon arrival to Manaus you will be met by a Nomadic Waters team member and enjoy an optional afternoon excursion.
The following day, you will be transferred to the river. Throughout your stay, you will enjoy full days of fishing in exceptional waters. Depending on your trip choice, you will take your meals aboard the mothership or the floating dining cabin. Throughout your trip you will experience a fishery that is known for its number and quality of fish.
Each trip offers exceptional fishing opportunities, jaw-dropping scenery, and abundant wildlife. Low human impact means greater opportunities to see the exotic birds and mammals that live in these jungles. We see countless Macaws, green parrots, and other birds daily. We've seen jaguar, many monkeys, caiman, pink dolphins, and even the rarely seen Amazon manatee here.
The Area
Rio Negro: The largest black-water river in the world, and the fifth-largest river by volume in the world, the Rio Negro is bigger than our minds can even comprehend. Imagine countless braids, rivers, streams, lagoons, and lakes all connected side by side. Now imagine that area being 13 miles wide! That's the Rio Negro. With plenty of room to explore, this watershed holds many secrets, including the coveted giant Timensis peacock bass.
Rio da Lua: The Rio da Lua has extremely consistent flows and runs clear. This makes for the perfect environment for our fish to grow fat and happy, and to spawn multiple times per season, guaranteeing a well-balanced population of species.
Rio Tatuagem: Clean, clear water allows the opportunity to sight fish to the extremely rare Vazzoleri peacock bass. Characterized by its bright yellow body, pitch-black spotted bars, and striking blue dorsal and tail fins, this species is simply stunning. This species of peacock bass is found in only a few watersheds in Brazil. In the Tatuagem river system, they are the predominant peacock bass species, and THEY ARE BIG.
