At Orvis, we are driven by a passion for those pursuits that help us connect to the outdoors, and sharing our knowledge and experiences with others is core to our mission. It's not uncommon to stumble upon a colleague along a riverbank, in the field, or on a trail with our pups debating training techniques. We share, we teach, we listen, and we learn—and we invite you to join us. Maybe you simply want to learn online and explore our hundreds of educational content pages—on everything from tying flies to training dogs—or take a class at one of our world-renowned schools. Whatever your skill level, we're here to help you become better.

In-Person or Virtual Learning

Orvis expert guides are here for you. We have classes at stores, lodges, and shooting grounds throughout the United States, ready to take your skills to the next level. If you’d prefer to learn from home, our online experiences are taught by the same experts, providing excellent instruction. We offer programs for every skill level, from FF101 introductions all the way to expert-level guided adventures.

Adventure travel and guided trips

You know the old cliché: a bad day fishing or hunting is better than a good day at work. For Orvis guides and endorsed partners, there are no bad days. We have lodges, guides, and partners scattered across the globe who have dedicated their lives to fishing and wingshooting, and who enjoy nothing more than sharing their backyards with eager enthusiasts. From exotic destinations like Mongolia and Patagonia to the blue oceans of Belize or the Bahamas, Orvis Adventures is ready.
