Rated 1 out of 5 by from useless !!! not at all what i expected... returned them to the store for refund.... feathers were not very long and the ones that were, were so wide the fly would have scared the fish... not good at all for small flies !!!!! Bought a small package from the store and they were perfect... Went back to get more and the store had no idea what i had purchased and had none on the display... Afraid to order them on line due to the experience I had with the hen necks sent to me....!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Haven't actually tried it yet The quality is good for the Hen Necks. The only thing that I wish Orvis would do is to label the colors in their pictures. The item lists 5 colors, but only shows 4. I understand that white needs not shown, but it just makes sense to me to label the items just in case. I take it that the "Dun" color is the greenish one. Let's label some stuff please. Like the thread! Good job on labeling the thread.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from darker brown than I'd hoped I had hoped that the necks would be from Rhode Island Red hens. They are darker than I'd hoped but I can use them anyhow. I had requested that one would be sent to British Columbia. I learned only after a very long call to Orvis that they don't do that. Unfortunately Orvis never e-mailed me about this restriction. They said they called, but unless I know the name of the person at the other end, I don't answer the call and no-one left a message.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small sized necks Although the necks seemed a little small, they have a lot of nice feathers to make a lot of soft hackles patterns. Nice consistency of feather quality.
