The Story

A tungsten beadhead nymph with classic lines, the TH Quill Jig is tied with a quill body blended with a touch of UV Ice Dub for extra flash in the water. Ice Dub shines in low light conditions, making this barbless fly ready for action any time of the day.
Sizes 12, 14, 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Quill Went to my favorite spot in Oregon and caught over 100 trout in 4 trips in the same week. Worked so good euro nymphing that I put it on the top and bottom fly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent jig nymph As my first foray into the barbless jig-style nymph, I was hoping to snag the bottom less and still manage to successfully trail a second fly behind the jig. This worked perfectly on my first trip out. This quill jig sinks quickly, hooks and holds well, and catches fish. I encountered cold, dirty water, and still managed a decent morning with this fly as my lead. Recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Panfish slayer! I picked this fly up based on a recommendation by the Fishing manager Dan at my local (Arlington VA) Orvis store with the intent of using it as a dropper nymph under a dry fly for some blueline fishing around a lof of underwater logs. Having had some success with other dry-dropper rigs on panfish, I decided to give this one a go for a quick after-dinner trip to the local pond with my son last night. I tied this under a Royal Wulff and the panfish couldn't leave it alone! I was catching Largemouth Bass, assorted Bluegill, and Black Crappie one right after the other, including a double hookup Bluegill/Crappie on the dry/dropper. I'm headed back to the shop right now to pick up a couple more of these deadly little flies and I can't wait to try them out on trout and I'm hoping one of the carp cruising that same pond will grab hold of one.
