The Story

A highly effective, and highly visible, two-tone egg pattern. In Great Lake tributaries, Lynch's Double Dot Egg is a lethal take on an old standby, the Blood Dot Egg. In orange, tangerine.

Sizes 10, 12, 14.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Egg time! I was out fishing with a guide recently, and though it was only late fall, he rigged up my line with an egg - and that's what the trout were hitting all morning. I think of eggs as a winter pattern, but lo and behold the trout were very eggy in October. I was out of egg patterns in my own fly box, and so stocked up right away. I haven't had a chance to take them out on the water yet, but should get them wet this weekend. I'm eager to see the results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Egg Pattern Firstly I will say I prefer the Meg-A-Egg for looks and features but this double dot gets the job done. I have had consistent success on the yellow and chartreuse but unfortunately they can't take too much of a beating before they deteriorate. Overall a decent fly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tied well but the hook could be better This fly is tied well and arrives just as it looks in the website but the hook it is tied on looks a little cheap. I think the hook quality could be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fly It's nice they gave me credit for this fly. The blood dot does make a difference. For the Salmon River in NY, tangerine is the color in size 10, unless the water is low and clear, then bump down to size 12.
