Excellent for nymph drifting
I use in early spring when drifting for rainbows and browns!

not so good
Haven't fished it yet but don't care for the way it looks. Shuck is way too heavy. Picture looks right but actual fly does not match it.

Great fly for trout
This fly was something different than I had seen anyone else using, and I had not been having much luck, so I gave it a try. It worked. Sometimes I think trying something they have not seen gets you an extra strike when all else fails. As with all the Orvis fly's I have purchased, the quality is great. Shipped quick.

Mouth watering
The Sparkle Caddis has a lot going for it. Most important, it resembles an emerging insect, tender and tasty. I have found another sure bet to stock in my caddis fly box.

Try it as a dropper
In the smaller size (16) this is an excellent dropper when tied under a larger Stimulator or Elk Hair caddis dry fly during a caddis hatch. Fish rise to inspect (but often refuse) the dry fly but then hit the emerger dropper.

Extremely happy
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. One fly withstood an all day barrage of hungry rainbows and is still in great shape.
