The Story

Take the best streamer pattern ever invented, add a bead and then make the body flashy and wrap it with grizzly hackle and you have the makings of a killer fly. There is virtually no place in the country this fly won't work.

Sizes: 6, 8.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have This is my favorite fly for river bass. But I’m sure it works great on other species and water conditions as well. Don’t leave home without a few in your box!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! A must have for every fly box! This is a high quality, durable fly that can withstand a large number of trips to the net. Last far longer than other mass produced flies I have purchased in the past. Get your hackle on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnet for Browns and bows! Was nymphing the Rio Grande in NM at John Dunn Bridge with no results. Tied on this bugger and caught several nice Browns and a few nice bows. Worked well in full sunshine and at dusk. Held up to repeated casts and hang ups on the rocks. Just re sharpened the hook and kept on throwing it. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Productive - keeps the net busy! Used this flashy streamer on the Rio Grande, Taos, NM near the John Dunn Bridge. Caught several bows and several browns to match. Tied nicely. Holds up well to hundreds of casts. I used it in both low and bright light conditions with great results. I'll fish the Lower Mountain Fork River, Broken Bow, OK in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to try it there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Warmwater Fishing This fly is one of my favorites for small bass and panfish. The olive version is great where the fish are feeding on crayfish. I have yet to try it on trout, but I presume it will work great. I highly recomend this fly to anyone into warmwater fly fishing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Fly The olive bead head bugger with the olive tail is one of the most successful streamers I have used on the big southern New England rivers. The flies from Orvis are consistently the best quality in materials and craftsmanship.
