The Story

Bluegills and small bass will eat this fly pattern up. Big eyes and plenty of tail and rubber legs make this one buggy looking critter sitting on top of the water. A few quick strips and then let it sit a while and then strip it again and the pan fish will come running. There's nothing better than deep fried panfish filets, and this fly will fill the pan.

Size: 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite streamer I took the legs off of the black and white one and used a swivel to sink it and fished it like a woollybugger. I have caught more bass, panfish and crappie sinking this popper than I have with any wet fly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for bluegills and small bass Used with my 4 weight fly rod for bluegills in a small lake. The poppers tend to suspend 2 or 3 inches below the surface, but this seems to be just what the bluegills want. As a bonus, I caught several small large mouth bass. I'm very pleased with these little poppers, and I just ordered some more to replace the ones mangled by the fish I caught.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking bug I use this bug to fly fishing for bluegill. If bug was a little larger in size with a larger hook it would be an excellent replacement for the now obsolete arcadeo round denny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little lake dynamo Used this to show my young boys how to fly fish on the lake. Crushed panfish the size of my palm, crappie bigger than my hand, and a 2lb Bass. Can use various retrieves and as always have the fun top water blowups we all enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Bluegills Caught 30+ bluegills on a mini pop popper this AM from my canoe. It didn't quite float, but suspended just below the surface, at least with my setup, but this was just what the bluegill wanted today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Crappie jig ever!!! I have been after crappie and pan fish for 35 years. This Mini Pop Popper is deadly. The fish can't resist it. I have ordered 4 more just in case I lose this one.
