The Story

Made from 100% silicone. Extremely strong and lifelike movement. Silicone will not degrade becoming brittle when exposed to UV light like rubber or latex will. Solid colors with micro flakes of flash material, and barred colors with micro flash material. Great for use in nymph legs, foam dry patterns, poppers, crab legs. Eliminates the worry of falling apart in the fly box due to rotting.

In barred: Chestnut, White, Chartreuse, Pearl, Olive, Orange. In solid; Chartreuse, Black.

Approximately 44 8" pieces. Specify barred or solid. Made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality but BEWARE The silicone legs are a great quality! But BEWARE... the solid black color is not solid black.. it has the blue sparkles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable I've been using the Orvis silicon legs for Chubby Chernobyl and Chernobyl Ant patterns. I've tugged and pulled on these legs in all directions. They're great! They don't break.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for terrestrials, large nymphs Round, measures about 0.027 - 0.030 inches in diameter - best characterized as medium in size. Orvis should include such details in their descriptions. I haven’t had any issues with the black barring coming off, but you do have to be careful with it like all barred rubber materials. I have the orange, the silicone in which is a bit amber in color with orange speckles (aka glitter) and relatively long black bars. Too big in diameter for smaller nymphs, but very nice for stone fly nymphs. I have also used for hoppers and similar dries... my go to for the GFA hopper pattern. Overall, these are quality, robust legs good for select patterns.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Partial black bars I thought the bars were flaking off as I tied my first fly with the Barred Olive legs. Some legs had black bars, some had none. Closer inspection showed that the bars were only on one side of the material. Legs were barred on one side, flip the fly over, no bars on the other side. I guess it will be OK as the flies and legs move around in the water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great legs! These work very well for beetle and spider patters, and the patters look nice on the finished flies.
