Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent guide !! It was a pleasure for me to be a guest on Dave's boat today, fishing around Pine Island Sound out of Matlacha, Florida. I'm 72 years old and have been fly fishing since age 12, having guided in southeast Alaska, southern Colorado and northern New Mexico, leading groups to Mexico, Belize and the Bahamas, and a Master Certified Casting Instructor with the FFI. I've lived in southwest Florida full time since 2004 and fished this area extensively since then. I can tell you I would proudly recommend Dave to everyone I know without reservation. He is simply excellent in every respect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great day on the water The day Captain Dave and I went out the weather forecast was for 10-12 mph winds , perfect conditions . By late morning the wind was double the forecast which made fly fishing difficult at best . With his knowledge of the area and his skill on the polling platform he turned what could have been a disasterous day into a successful one . I caught several sea trout , 2 snook , and a jack , the man worked his butt off to put me into fish . I give Captain Dave my highest recommendation

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gentlemen's Guide After fishing with Dave last summer on the Kennebec River, we knew he had just the right temperament for guiding a couples weekend in Boca Grande. Dave knows the back waters, puts you on fish, makes a mean sandwich and always remains calm. We had a 20 fish day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Cannot Do Better than Capt. Dave Folks, the world is full of guides, but there are precious few of Capt. Dave's caliber. You will never find another charter captain who will work harder to put you on fish, display more professionalism at every step of the, or just plain be a cooler dude to spend a day on the water with. He is, bar none, the best small boat handler I've ever met, both on the helm and from the poling platform. We faced extremely difficult weather conditions, with 15+ kt winds, always from just the wrong quarter for our purposes, yet Dave consistently and without fail kept us in position to present for maximum effectiveness. He's as knowledgeable as they come, charming as can be, and just a pleasure to fish with. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Capt. Dave does everything right from the moment you first contact him to the end of your trip and beyond.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great day on the water We had a great trip. Dave is a very nice guy and enjoyable to fish with. Caught snook, specks, redfish, some big lady fish and a nice jack. Dave worked hard to get us fish. Very knowledgeable of the area and the fish. We tried several spots, adjusted methods and we caught fish. I highly recommend his service and will definitely book with him again next time I am in the neighborhood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best guide I've met Dave Pecci is the kind of guide you'd want to fish with every day. Dave is a passionate (die hard) angler who works as hard as any guide I've seen to keep his clients on fish. He should be running clinics on boat control... He's also a great teacher, but he offers instruction in a patient and calm way, you almost don't realize he's coaching you until the casts get better, the presentations improve, and you start hammering fish. It doesn't hurt that he's a great story teller and also just an all around good guy (and those pastries he brings...). I'll be fishing with Dave again the next time I'm in the area without a doubt. Can't wait!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look no further... Capt. Dave is a joy to fish with. He uses top shelf gear, is a wealth of local knowledge, and doesn't rely on two or three "honey holes" to provide action. He will work to keep your day on his boat action-packed. West coast Florida is filled with amazing, scenic back-country fishing and Capt. Dave is a the guy to take you there.
