The Story

One of the great favorites of Southern fish (and fishermen by the way is the mullet fly. Huge schools provide plenty of forage for barracuda, kings, amberjack, and any species that haunt temperate waters. Usually hanging close to shore, the mullet fly is a prime bait for southern anglers and these mullet flies are an excellent imitation for flyrodders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking fly! I'll be testing this fly out in a couple of weeks. Looks like the quality is top notch which is what I always receive from Orvis. Very happy that I waited for this fly to become available and jumped on it when it did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitelly a Go-to fly for many We recently became Orvis endorsed dealers at Adventures in Paradise down in S.W. Florida. With the large selection of flies we received, this one stood out among most of the bait fish patterns. With the realistic look of a small finger mullet, there is not many fish in our waters that wouldn't turn on it and chase it down. From trout to tarpon, The first week of testing this fly produced a grand slam, and that fly only. Slow or fast strip, both seemed productive. The tough braid tubing really holds up well to the toothy critters, as well as the rough mouth of the "Silver King". Definitely a fly worth the buck if your fishing the South Florida waters...
