Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted! I absolutely love this thing! I wanted a "classier" nipper without spending the big bucks on the cream of the crop. The nippers work great, look good, and the lack of a true spring has me thinking that they will last quite a while. Tested on 50 lb mono all the way down to 7x tippet and it performed flawlessly. I will absolutely blame Tom Rosenbauer and his podcast for justifying the purchase. It was my way of supporting orris without being able to afford and H3 ;) This is absolutely a luxury item, but Orvis absolutely deserves the revenue for all that they do for the sport.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flow nipper Lost my Orvis nipper, which I got approximately 15 years ago, which cost something like $80.00 - do not remember exactly. In store found 2 nippers, which I like - one is really pricey (I already have expensive nipper experience) and that one. Been fishing in Virginia - Brown and Ranbow trout - absolutely good nipper - no regrets. Just one advise - buy in store, not online. Why - you can check nipper jaws lineup - sorry, but not all of them ideal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Satisfactory They are fine but seem less than what I expected for the price. Difficult to attach to a zinger and or split ring because of the thickness of the metal at the attachment point.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Durable and well made durable and well made, just not as good at cutting as I would have expected

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and sharp! I’ve been using nail clippers on my fly sling pack and finally got some no kidding nippers! I love how streamlined and sharp these nippers are - I highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blunt Jaws, not worth buying This is a really disappointing product from a usually great company. The nippers are small, compact and yet solid, so they looked really durable. Unfortunately they do not cut my 4 & 5lb leaders that cheap nippers deal with easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for some uses. I finally got to put this nipper to good use this past week. Yes, those jaws are sharp and cut well. That the jaws are replaceable is a good feature and it is sturdily made. Unfortunately, that feature is also one of it's short comings as they are kind of clunky. The jaws are too big and cumbersome for easily getting into the gape to trim errant fibers and generally around very small hook sizes. I was suspicious of the location of the hook eye cleaning needle, with good reason it turns out. It's very easy to poke holes in your finger, exposed as it is. Again, it, too, is generally too large to be very useful on small hook sizes, #20 and below. Still, for anyone who uses fly sizes #18 and bigger, these are probably just fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost great. After 6 months, I like so much about these nippers, especially at the price. I couldn't spring for $100+ dollar status nippers from designer manufacturers, and the Flow seemed a good in-between. It has nice heft, feels good in the hand, and seems well built. The eye cleaner only stabs me occasionally, I've had worse. My only real complaint is that they don't cut line. Sometimes they cut 6x on the first try, but generally I have to "chew" through tippets. Anything bigger than 4x and I probably need to grab my retired cheapo nippers to cut it. So.... feels good, looks good, doesn't "nip" so good.
