If you need assistance finding lodging for your trip, I can provide recommendations for nearby Airbnb properties and hotels close to the areas we’ll be fishing.
All trips are tailored to meet each angler’s needs, goals, and experience level—whether you’re new to fly fishing or a seasoned angler looking to refine your skills. Every detail is thoughtfully planned to create a productive, enjoyable, and memorable day on the river.
All necessary equipment is provided, including fly rods and waders, so you can travel light. Half-day trips include refreshments and light snacks to keep you comfortable and energized. Full-day trips include lunch, along with coffee and hot water, allowing you to relax, refuel, and enjoy the full experience without distraction.
The waters we fish are selected based on the time of year, current river conditions, and the species we’re targeting. The Portland metro area offers excellent access to the Clackamas and Sandy Rivers, both well known for their outstanding salmon and steelhead fisheries. During open seasons, the Clackamas also provides rewarding trout fly fishing, making it a versatile option close to home.
For anglers willing to travel a bit farther, the McKenzie River delivers some of the finest trout fly fishing in the region. This iconic river is as scenic as it is productive, offering a full range of techniques throughout the season. Whether you prefer casting dry flies, nymphing, or swinging streamers for aggressive trout, the McKenzie consistently provides a high-quality experience for anglers of all skill levels.
If coastal waters call your name, heading west opens the door to pursuing wild winter steelhead on Oregon’s pristine coastal rivers. These fisheries offer a true Pacific Northwest experience—lush scenery, powerful fish, and the opportunity to spend one or multiple days chasing steelhead in some of the most beautiful river systems in the state.
