The Story

This 3X heavy wire hook features a sproat bend, down eye, and elongated barbless claw point. Black nickel finish aids in stealth. Curved claw needle point penetrates quickly and holds its position. Best used for nymphs and wet fly patterns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stout and sharp wet fly hook. I use it for soft hackles that I want to sink just a bit instead of adding a bead head. Please extend the sizes to 14 and 16.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great hook, not the right sizes This would be the best carp hook out there, if they made them in sizes 6 and 8. They used to!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these hooks I just started tying some old school wet flies and these hooks rock. They look rather sexy, if a hook could be sexy. They run a size small I. The shank, so a 12 looks more like a 14, but we need more than two sizes in a havyweight hook (please). Could not be more happy with this purchase and the whole tactical series is excellent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Barbless soft hackle hook I am tying soft hackles which I use in the Madison River for fall runups. I have used hooks like this and where barbless hooks are required these hold much better. Also get the fly under the surface quickly.
