The Story

One of the most important food sources in summer months is the huge family of terrestrials. In some small streams they account for the majority of the trout's food and most of these are some type of beetle. Don't go fishing in summer months without a terrestrial selection and make sure it has a number of foam beetles, including this great fly pattern.

Sizes 10, 14.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The JUICE!!! No matter what body of water I am on when ever the action starts getting slow I know I can rely on the Bank Beetle to catch something. I have caught everything from panfish, creek chub, shad, LMBs, snakehead, catfish, and trout on this thing. It even catches turtles. I keep at least half a dozen at all times in my terrestrial box. Do yourself a favor and do the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very effective beetle I bought the Bank Beetle over the winter and used it to catch several brook trout this Spring. I lost them in the trees and had to reorder them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Beetle Available Fished a small Central Pa stream near Spruce Creek, PA, which has been tough all summer. Second cast, far bank, produced a fighting Trout. Best of the year for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bank Beetle This is a go to fly for most fly fisherman here in Kentucky. I usually tie my own flies but when it comes to the "Bank Beetle" I always let Orvis do the work. It's almost like they wrap kevlar around these flies because they are so durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bank Beetle The bank beetle is a great flie for late summer it does'nt produce greatly but the ones it does are very good sized. I was fishing the Davidson river in North Carolina ( voted one of the best trout streams in North America) and hoooked a huge one but did not get it in.
